This is pretty cool. If any of you android users have Wordpress blogs that either you run or help manage you really need to check this out. You can get it for free from the android market.

It gives you the tools to add posts, manage items like posts and pages and even moderate comments. I think I will enjoy using this as time goes by.

And FYI: I am posting this from the android client too ;-)

26 Jan 2010 Integrating the online arena…

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Wordpress… the list can go on and on. Do I update this page so these people can see it or should I update that one so those people do. What a pain. I am trying to get all my pages linked together so I can update one and all my pages are notified.

So far I have found that Facebook and Twitter work well together. It is easy to update your Twitter account and have that update your Facebook status as well… But say I want to write a blog post like this one and still let my Facebook friends know or my followers on Twitter know… Now it starts to get complicated.

I wish there were one site you could go to, subscribe to, update and notify all the other sites. I am trying to do that through my blog page but all the plugins can get confusing. If I find a solid solution, I’ll let you know.

28 Oct 2009 I have been Googleized!

Not sure how it happened. Maybe I wasn’t looking. I don’t know how or when but suddenly I realize I have been googleized.

I guess it all started when I was watching the release of the G1 phone, the first phone to be released with Google’s Android operating system. I thought, hmmm, the concept is nice, but what business does a search engine company have making a mobile device OS. I figure it may take off, who knows, right? I was surprised by the amount of hype surrounding its release.

Then a few months ago I saw what the mobile device manufacturer HTC had done with their release of the HTC Hero and I thought, Wow! That Looks sweet! So I decided to follow it a bit closer. I was very pleased to see that my carrier, Sprint, was getting this device and I started to wonder if I might switch from being a long time windows mobile user.

So I guess to make a long story short, I am now the proud owner of a Sprint Hero. And in my humble opinion, THIS PHONE ROCKS!!!

25 Jun 2009 Microsoft should be worried
 |  Category: Babble  | Comments

I have been a supporter of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile since it was a litte bit of code called Windows CE.  Since then it has grown and matured into one of the most widely used mobile operating systems for PDA’s and smart phones. Then came the Apple iPhone. And all of a sudden it was common to have a phone that did more than just keep track of your phonebook and make phone calls even though those of use using windows mobile had been doing that for over a decade.

Now there is a newer contender in the ring and it looks like Microsoft is going to have to really step up and make some major changes if they want to be able to compete.  Google released their Android OS a little over a year ago, and now with the help of HTC, one of the most prominent smart phone designers, they are quickly taking advantage of Microsoft’s apparent lack of progress in the user interface department. Take a look below:

27 Mar 2009 So…

I don’t think that you quite understood what I was meaning. When I said, “Dad has decided to start a whole bunch of posts with the word ‘I’” I meant in the post title… I use “I” a lot within the post itself… but people who read the RSS (if there are any people who read this at all) would not be able to see who wrote the post…

On the note of my signing of posts I do it for the same reason that a King wears a crown… to remind all thee lowly peasants that I am your ruler and you need to respect me for I have the hat:

I have a feeling that this is not my hat of power...

I have a feeling that this is not my hat of power...

Closer but I dont think this one is it either...

Closer but I don't think this one is it either...

Much closer but still not it...

Much closer but still not it...

WHOA!!!! Way too much power in that hat...

That looks about right...
