Sam and Jacob are authors now…
And yes, they have capitol letters…
This is your ruler speaking…
Hear me, very well, and obey…
Mom went to Stanford yesterday and today to check up on her legs…
No new growth… (which means that they got it all this time… Third times the charm I guess)…
Just thought I’d beat Dad to it… because your ruler cares…
This is Supreme Chancellor Jimmy Signing off.
Amanda posted this on my Facebook page and I thought it was worth a share so here you go:
Carol of the Bells – 2008 Holdman Christmas Display from Richard Holdman on Vimeo.
… Broadcasting live from the north pole…
Welcome back everyone….
Santa Clause has decided to give your ruler a look at the naughty/nice list, because even Santa Clause recognizes that I rule the world…
I’d love to tell you what list you’re all on…. but unfortunately if I did I’d have to kill you so, because I like you all so much, I will keep that information to myself…
I’ve been told that someone *cough*Amanda*/cough* has said that we have the smallest most ugliest Christmas Tree they have ever seen… so I’d like to take a moment to say that I didn’t like this one either… (I considered taking that moment to mention something about a certain tiny ugly dog but decided it would be mean… jk… your dogs not ugly…lol)…
Merry Christmas,
Supreme Chancellor Jimmy
I have to see a doctor tomorrow morning for workman’s comp so they can evaluate whether I am fit to go back to work yet or not. The problem is that whoever set up my appointment did not take into consideration that they have me working the swing shift for light duty between the hours of 4:00 pm and 12:30 am. So I don’t get back to the hotel until almost 1:00 am and don’t usually get to sleep until around 3:00 am. When is my appointment? 9:00 am, close to three hours before I normally get up!
Typical of people that work from 9-5. That’s all they they comprehend. Argh!!!!
To answer the question of why I need a bag, I decided to show you rather than try to tell you. In the image here I show all the stuff I carry with me on a typical day. Listed here in the picture (in no particular order) are my regular items:
Cell phone and case, extra battery for phone, headphones for phone, phone sync cable, phone charger, wallet, knife, sunglasses, ipod with armband case, headphones, pens, two memory cards, three flash drives, and keys.
The nicest part is that all this tech fits well into the bag and does not bulk it up. I can wear it all confortably and easily and have averything I need readily accessible to me.
Part of Kelsy’s 16th birthday party was to go on a shopping trip that involved a stay in a hotel. So Lacey brought Kelsy and one girlfriend up to stay the weekend with me in Oregon and we went to the Lloyd Center Mall up in Portland. After hours of shopping (and after just buying a bunny for Kelsy’s friend) the girls decided to go ice skating leaving Lacey and I to bunny sit.
Lacey and I were walking around the mall yesterday while Kelsy was doing her big shopping trip for her 16th birthday and came across a luggage store. We decided to look around and noticed that they had a TUMI section, which I thought was awesome because I was just looking at the TUMI site online because they are a leader in the travel accessory market. We took a look at several different sizes and styles. I liked being able to try them on rather than just looking at a picture on the web. I found that the styles I was looking at before were just about the size I liked while trying them on.
I finally decided on the bag shown here. It is nice and slim, and still holds all my gear. Infact, the bag in in TUMI’s T-Tech line and its called a Gear Bag. Its perfect for the stuff I carry, like my phone, extra battery, bluetooth headset, ipod, headphones, wallet, keys, checkbook, pack of gum, couple of pens, and so on.
I hung the bag over Kesly’s shoulder and she mentioned how light it was, then I had her grab the bag itself and lift it with her hand and her jaw dropped. The bag seems light, or even empty while you wear it, but to lift it you are amazed at how much heavier it feels.
Another feature about the bag that I really liked is the tracer. It comes with an individual tracking ID that if the bag is ever lost or stolen, TUMI will help you locate it and have it returned to you free for life.
So I guess I got yet another Christmas present early this year, but I couldn’t be happier. And the nice thing is that I wasn’t picking it out alone. Lacey was there with me and I tried on several of the bags and she gave me her feedback on each one. I really liked that part.
