28 Nov 2008 Black Friday
 |  Category: Babble  | Comments

Its been a while since I have subjected myself to the chaos of Black Friday. I have a few days at home so Lacey and I decided to go do a bit of shopping this morning.  The lines, the people, the extreme chaos. But we did find some good deals while we were out.  We got a couple leather jackets, some hoody sweatshirts, a ton of shirts… I guess we just got clothes, but lots of them.

27 Nov 2008 Thanksgiving

Everyone thinks that this day is a day for food, lots and lots of food. But the real meaning behind it is a day of thanks, a day set aside to think about all the good that you have in your life at the time. It’s a time of family and friends, of peace and love, and of recognition. I’m thankful for so many things, I’m thankful that I have a good school to go to, the opurtunity to be able to go to school, the right to speak, a family that loves me, friends that are there for me, a roof over my head, clothes on my back, and food in my stomach…what else is there to want in life? So today on this day of thanks, what is it that your thankful for? Comment with your input please.

16 Nov 2008 A sum up of me and my life currently
 |  Category: Babble  | Comments

So yeah this is my first blog entry on our new site :) . If you dont know much about me my name is Kelsy Ann Townsend and I’m a junior at Central Valley High School. My life right now is based around music, FNL, family, and friends. I only have one primary class right now which is not as easy as I thought but I’m making it by. I’m inrolled into the 1st guitar class where I’m learning a lot to be able to start writting my own music to the songs that I have written, really excited to see where that takes me. I’m a second saprona in my choir class, and the editor for clubs in my yearbook class. I run the FNL club thats on my campus, it the drug free club, Friday Night Live. Knowing that I’m helping people stay on the right track and keeping out of trouble is an awesome feeling. Also in the proccess I’m able to lead some of the kids in my walk of faith. I have had students that I’ve mentored this last year and also people that I have met through some of the events come up to me and ask me for help, and when they walk away knowing more of what to do, and in the right direction, its one of the greatest feelings there is.Being a truckers daughter is deffanitely not the easiest thing, we have had many hard times and scares in the past but we made it through and I’m sure that with this family we can make it through anything we put our mind to. I’ve heard I don’t know how many times how many people think its amazing that this last year with how much was going on that I was still able to walk into a room shining. Trust me this was no easy thing, I relied on God so much this last year and he got me through it all. Of course this is just the begining of a LONG year, but hey, what would my life be like if it wasnt packed to the brim with things to do hmm? I kno, it would be one boring time thats for sure!

btw..yes I do normally write this much lol… its just what I do :)

15 Nov 2008 I love Woot!
 |  Category: Uncategorized  | Comments

No I’m not talking about conversing with an owl.  Woot is a website that sells one item a day at an insanely low price. Its one of thw websites I try to check every day.  Sometimes they even have what they call a “woot off” where they take all the product that didn’t get sold and sell themm back to back at an even lower price until they are all gone.  That is the only time the product changes more than once during the day.  The rest of the time they will sell the same thing until they are sold out and that is that.  I would recommend you give it a try.

15 Nov 2008 Ah… Harvest Time

This is the start of our favorite time of the year, the holidays. Once we get past halloween (not our favorite) we get Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

I love starting off with Thanksgiving, mainly because I love cooking and eating turkey, and everything that goes with it.

I started a thread in the new discussion board about your favorite recipies… pop over there and respond.

14 Nov 2008 The trees I hurt my back with

When I was out in Boston in the beginning of September I was loading these trees onto pallets to be offloaded at Costco when I ended up tearing the muscle in my back and popping two ribs out. Now I am working light duty in the yard for the company I work for up in Brooks, OR.

I am starting to get the site back to where I want it.  You may see the style change here and there, don’t freak out I just want to find something that works for me.

Lacey had a great question and I am not sure where to go.  She wants to be able to post here and have it automatically update her facebook page (two birds one stone kinda thing).  Any ideas?

I’m not one for long stories, so in short my domain got deleted.  It actually works out better this way because my new domain is cheaper and has a slew more features…  all in all, it’ll take a while to get things settled so sorry :-(

Keep checking back for updates though, the new site should be better than ever.
